NPR visited Air Hollywood to report on one of the less expected uses of a film studio: helping people get over their fear of flying.
The piece looks at how the studio’s realistic cabins and terminal give nervous travelers a safe place to practice every part of a trip, from boarding to taxi and takeoff sounds, without leaving the ground. Programs like this grew out of Talaat Captan’s belief that the sets built for Hollywood could also make air travel easier for people who struggle with it, including the families served by Open Sky for Autism.
