BizBash, the events industry publication, included Talaat Captan in its 2015 list of Event Innovators for turning a working film studio into one of the most distinctive event venues in Los Angeles.
The recognition centered on the Pan Am Experience, which opened at Air Hollywood in October 2014. Built from interior components of a retired 747 alongside newly made pieces, the set recreates 1970s air travel, with crew in period uniforms serving a four-course meal to guests in seats upholstered to match Pan Am’s originals. BizBash reported that it regularly sold out months in advance and was becoming popular for private and corporate events.
